Hello everyone!! Kymona here to show you how to create a fun layout title.
Reflection Scrapbook Kit
Hi there! It’s Flóra here with a 12×12 scrapbook layout created with Altenew Reflection collection. I was so inspired by the Altenew Challenge Sketch #3 so I had to create a layout using that awesome sketch.
In case you don’t know the Sketch #3 I paste it here. At the original post you can learn more about the Challenge which ends on Monday, 31st July at 11:55 pm EDT. Come and play along! 😉
Back to my layout. 🙂 First I printed out a selfie photo series in 3″x3″ size. All have a thin white margin. I placed them whimsical on the bottom of my white cardstock. Under it added a black and white striped paper piece. I adhered the photos with 3D foam tape so under them I could tuck different embellishments.
I added big elements from the Reflection Chipboard Sheet like watercolored flower and camera. I also embed fun Reflection Wood Veneer animals. I scattered few green and red Reflection Epoxy Buttons and black Enamel Dots. In the end a placed my title which is an acetate die cuts from Reflection Die Cuts pack.
That was it for today! I hope I could inspire you to play along with us. Don’t forget to enter the Altenew Sketch Challenge #3 . Can’t wait to see your projects!
Thanks for stopping by! Flóra
Hi Ladies! Do you know Altenew is running the Sketch Challenge #2? I love to use sketches for my projects, so I had to try this new one. It’s so fun and easy! I encourage you to use it for your next card or scrapbook page. You have still time as the challenge ends on Sunday, June 18th at 11:55 pm EDT. Here is my take one the Altenew Sketch Challenge #2: More
Hi Ladies! It’s Flóra here today sharing a new 12×12 scrapbook layout. For this project I used Altenew Relfection collection and New Day Card Kit. First, I decided the colors for my layout and chose the pretty watercolor papers (pink, yellow, black & white). Then, I cut out a zig-zag background pattern with Silhouette Cameo cutting machine. I love to make clean and fast scrapbook layouts. It’s perfect way to start out as a newbie in this art world or perfect if your busy!
What You Should Prepare:
- Prepare your favourite pattern paper as background.
- White cardstock paper as layer and you will decorate it with your photo, embellishments and stamps.
- Choose your perfect photo to scrap with.
- Washi tapes, and some embellishments are a must.
Hello, it’s Lilith once again with a new layout and process video. For today’s post I decided to work with the Adore You Stamp Set and to use a “watercolor technique”.
I started by taking some white watercolor paper and added some water too it. Then I took an acrylic block and applied some ink to it. I used the new Warm & Cozy Crisp Inks.
For the background I picked one of the patterned papers from the Reflection Scrapbook Collection. To tone it down I drew half a heart onto some white cardstock and cut it out with a craft knife. I then mirrored the image to create a heart. I distressed the edges a bit to add texture and detail.
Once the watercolor paper was dry I fussy cut out the flowers with my scissors, but you could use the Adore You Coordinating Die Set if you have it .
The two design principles which I use almost all the time is the rule of three and the visual triangle. I placed three clusters of flowers over the layout in a triangle. This creates flow, balance and guides the eye over all parts of the design.
A couple of gold touches finish off the layout, as do some ink splashes. To create the gold dots I simply took some gold glitter tape from Altenew and placed it onto some paper and then I punched out a couple of tiny circles.
