Welcome everyone. In today’s blog post I’m going to share a layout that I created using the Faux Veneer stamp. I was immediately draw towards the triangle shapes want to use those to add color and “texture” to the page. The Faux Veneer Stamp set is a perfect set for scrapbooking, card making and can even be used if you are a planner addict.
I planned out where I wanted to put the photo before stamping. I stamped to the right hand side working my way up towards the top right. Then I matted the white paper with my stamped triangles onto some fushia cardstock to make it pop of the page and placed that onto a white background.
For texture, I used some doilies from my kitchen and added some buttons and twine. To create flow I opted for some Altenew Shimmer Spray ink in Frosty Pink.
You can see how the whole layout came together in this video (watch it in HD on YouTube here.)
Last week I focused on the Circled sentiments stamp set and used it in three ways. For my card I created an embossed background and then used inks to add color. For today layout I decided to do the same but on a larger scale. I picked the pretty Floral Shadow Stamp Set.
I chose one stamp from the set and stamped it using a glue ink over the whole piece of cardstock. Then I added some Crystal clear embossing powder but you could use any color depending on the result you want to obtain. To get the colored effect, choose two ink colors and start with the lightest. Pop some ink onto a craft sheet and spray some water on it. Then just take the paper and dab into the ink embossed side facing down. Once the first color has been added, you can use the second. I picked Bamboo, Parrot and Caribbean Sky. I would advise to choose colors that work well together as you might get strange combination with some tones.
For the embellishments I used two die sets:
The title is also from a die called : Script Words 2 Die set.
